  1. Mostly interested in cleaning the grips or making them more grippy.

Is there any specific material that's good for cleaning the deathadder in general and the side grips?

Or should I just put water on a cloth and wipe it?

    Thanks.

  2. How do I clean and maintain my Razer Mouse for optimum performance?

Before attempting any type of cleaning on your mouse, please unplug it from your computer.

    Clean the mouse sensor:
You can clean the sensor using a Q-Tip lightly coated with rubbing alcohol. Let the sensor dry for 5 minutes before attempting to use it.

Clean the body of your mouse:
We cannot say with certainty what type of dirt and debris may be on your product, or how certain cleaning products may react with it, but we have had good luck cleaning Razer products using commonly available monitor cleaning wipes. To clean the body of your Razer mouse please take a monitor wipe and use gentle wiping motions. Do not scrub the surface of your Razer mouse.

    Protect your mouse feet:
To get the ultimate experience in movement and control, we highly recommend a premium mouse surface from Razer. Some other surfaces can cause the mouse feet to wear excessively and rapidly.

You can check more on our FAQ Page.

  3. RaptureHearts laid it out very well.

I'd just like to add a bit of info. Use a ammonia-free, phosphate free, alcohol-free cleaner. Screen cleaner works nicely. Spray onto a microfiber towel designed for lens/screens (not the thick high-pile kind designed for cars). Spray onto the towel, then wipe the mouse with the wet towel.

Use this method if you don't want to use disposable wipes. Works for monitors and other peripherals too.

For your specific situation, you might want to try something with a degreasing agent. Mix a little bit of dish soap with water, spray onto towel, wipe rubber grips. Then wipe again with another towel wet with pure water. That should get the grease off the rubber and make it more grippy.

  4. Thanks for your very detailed response, but I think I did something to my grips and now it's... I guess I could call it sticky.

What do you think I should use to make my grips cleaner like new?

    Thank you so much!

  5. I recently exchanged my Deathadder Chroma for the Elite. I did this because I was getting very sticky rubber grips on my mouse and later on it also spread to the whole mouse. I found out that the reason of my mouse getting this sticky is that everytime I go to the gym, I use never cleaned rubber grips of the machines to workout. These rubbers are really sticky and even wearing workout gloves wont help.

After bringing back my Chroma twice I decided to switch it for the Elite one and sadly, this is starting to get sticky too. As I use this mouse almost 10 hours or more a day it really bothers me.

Are these methods the best way to get rid of this annoying problem?

I'm asking this to be a 100% sure of what I'm doing since last time I cleaned it it ruined the mouse completely

    I hope there's a solution for this.

    Thanks!

  6. Try contacting our support team to see if they can check if your mouse has issues with the side grips or not through http://rzr.to/help.
  7. I know that there's nothing wrong with the mouse itself. The problem is that the sticky material of the bars and grips in my local gym (probably from alot of sweat from alot of people) gets on my hands and fingers and like 'transfers' from my hands on my mouse, even after I washed my hands with soap.

And last time I cleaned my mouse with a (wrong) substance I ruined my mouse by making it even more sticky.

I just want to know if there's a safe way to clean my mouse without ruining my rubber grips.

  8. The link is given so our support team can give you tips of how to clean your mouse without ruining the side rubber grips on your mouse.

For me, as the FAQ mentions, I have used the monitor cleaning wipes to clean my mouse and to be very gentle not to ruin it.
